This painting depicts Saxifraga florulenta, a rare endemic and glacial relict of the Maritime Alps, portrayed in both its vegetative rosette and flowering stages. It represents the symbolic plant of the Piedmont region.

Exhibited at the solo exhibition “Racconti di fiori”, Terme di Valdieri, and now part of the permanent collection of the Maritime Alps Natural Park.

This painting captures Leopoldia comosa in its elegant floral inflorescence, celebrating its ornamental charm and botanical precision.
